Training and Education

Factory Training, Web Institute, On-Site Training, Regional Training, eLearning, Webcast, Technology Training, and Certifications, Sales Training

CGNA conducts regular training sessions covering a range of topics including sales, leadership, and customer service as well as specific product training from our preferred vendors, expanding our member’s knowledge and customer value.

Classes include webinars, small group hands-on sessions, one-on-one time with instructors, and facility tours. Plus, the training covers specialized equipment training.

Regional Training

CGNA also coordinates regional training sessions with a manufacturer for distributors and contractors in a particular geographic area of the country. Utilizing a CGNA member’s training facility; factory reps are able to train a large class in one trip, while the distributors and contractors have reduced travel costs by attending a nearby location.

eLearning

The CGNA eLearning training platform provides the most advance training of the highest quality using a sleek interface and computer based learning to deliver a combination of live training lectures, pre-recorded training modules, live tele-classes, on line library resources and software.

Factory Training

CGNA coordinates factory training with our preferred vendors for devices encompassing the processes and techniques used to train personnel to operate and support a system.

Factory training assures the latest in product knowledge available for the newest products allowing distributors to provide excellent customer support.

On-Site Training

Most controls manufacturers offer on-site training and have a staff of capable factory trainers that travel. Both distributors and contractors are welcome to assure that products are installed correctly and safely.

Also, each CGNA Member has their own on-site training facility and they often have certified factory trainers among their employees for many of the lines they carry. Contractors value the availability of local expertise from skilled controls specialists

Web Institute

The CGNA Web Institute offers monthly opportunities to train online without the travel, time and expense onsite training. In partnership with CGNA’s over 50 preferred vendors, online training includes product training for commercial, combustion and residential HVAC products and controls.

Webcast

CGNA offers webcasts to its members free of charge. A webcast is a media file distributed over the Internet using streaming media technology. As a broadcast it may either be live or recorded, similarly, a webcast may either be distributed live or recorded.
